  • Fourishing Foothills nominations are currently being accepted. Recognize organizations, groups, and individuals in the community whose leadership, acts, or support have demonstrated a significant contribution to our purpose.

  • ASCA (Alberta School Council Assoc.) deadline for Recognition Awards is Feb 1st. FSD Trustees are nominating FSD COSC for the meeting organized with Honorable RJ Sigurdson in October in the category of Division School Council Engagement!

  • Advocacy Information Provided by Foothills School Division, including Briefing Notes for MLAs drafted by Trustees.

  • Full Time Kindergarten - currently seeking interest for 2024-2025 school year.

  • Beginning to plan Wellness Symposium with Parent Assoc. - Conference format with Keynote speaker and specialists on a variety of wellness topics.

  • Fresh Fruit Program: Safeway at D'Arcy Crossing has been generous enough to support Heritage Heights School by providing a 15% discount on apples, bananas and oranges to fill the bowl by the office. This is on offer to all students through out the day!

Parent Assoc. Report - Melissa Christensen

  • Currently planning for playground upgrades - defining scope and assessing feasibility of adding swings, replacing existing pour-in-place surface and addition of small playground features, including gaga ball court. In the process of gathering sufficient information over the next few weeks to begin submitting grant applications to secure funding.

  • Hot Lunch is open for orders until JANUARY 29th for the February - June session. Access the Hot Lunch System to get your order in!

Upcoming Fundraisers:
  • Purdy's - Delivery in time for Easter

  • Spring Plants - May delivery in time for Mother's Day

By supporting fundraisers, Parent Assoc. is able to:

  • Support our Teachers by providing funds to be used to supplement supplies for their classrooms

  • Hosting events & meals to show our appreciation for our staff

  • Host & support various school events

  • Support Athletic & Husky Ice Programs

  • Subsidize field trip transportation

  • Provide funds to enhance learning - think of tech for STEAM

  • Upgrades to the playground

Supervised Lunch Dates:

Once a month, parent volunteers supervise students in the classroom while students eat lunch. This gives our much loved teachers an opportunity to eat their meal in the staff room together.
